Supplies - Support Bars
Reinforcement is recommended on large or heavy-use leaded panels like doors or operating windows. Steel support bars are soldered across the panel horizontally in one or more locations. Placement is largely dependent on how the bars impact the look of the window and should be determined at the initial design stage. The bars are soldered in an upright position (on the narrow edge). The bars come in 6 ft. lengths in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" widths. The steel bars are zinc plated to enable easy soldering and to resist rust.
