Northern Art Glass

Warm Glass

Warm glass describes art glass that has been formed in the kiln or at the flameworkers torch. When glass has been heated to over 1000° F. it enters the warm zone. As the heat rises, the artist can work the glass to his or her own vsion. It can be bent, fused together, shaped over a mold or a mandrel and manipulated with the right tools and a creative touch. Warm glass is a magic medium and the posibilities are simply endless!
